Mauritius

About This Destination

A gem in the India Ocean, Mauritius is an excellent destination for both families and couples with superb sandy beaches and fabulous hotels which cater for all tastes and budgets. Easily accessed with a flight from Newcastle via Dubai, you’ll be welcomed to Mauritius by friendly locals and the term ‘service with a smile’ could have been made up just for this island nation. Our personal travel experts recommend adding three or four nights on the neighbouring Island of La Réunion for a few days of adventure and exploration experiencing the Volcanic peaks, lava fields and lush forestation that make up the island’s dramatic landscapes.

An excellent choice for golfers, Mauritius is home to several beautifully manicured courses and is also an ideal place to enjoy various water sports in the crystal-clear waters of the Indian Ocean.

For those who prefer to take it easy on holiday you can look forward to top-class pampering in excellent spas and whether you’ve spent the day snorkelling, swinging a club or just soaking up the sun, you can count on enjoying superb cuisine throughout your stay.
