About This Destination
Alaska is now a very in-demand cruise destination and as such there is a great range of itineraries on offer. Most Alaska cruises include a transit of the famous Inside Passage, which lies just north of Vancouver, as well as ports of call at the Alaskan capital of Juneau and historic Goldrush towns like Skagway and Haines. Some cruise ships head even further west from Seward, venturing out across the Bering Sea, through the volcanic Pribilof Islands and into the Russian Far East.
Due to the sea conditions in this very northerly region the cruising season is (necessarily) rather short, with most itineraries operating between June and September. You can combine your Alaskan cruise with a longer itinerary covering Canada and the USA’s west coast either by land or sea.
