Hyatt is scheduled to open its first beach resort in Japan later this year. The Hyatt Regency Seragaki Island Okinawa (a bit of a mouthful!) will be situated on its very own island, connected to the mainland by a short bridge.
Located in Onnason, one of Okinawa’s top beach destinations, the 344-room luxury hotel will be a great base for exploring the surrounding area. Residing half-way between the island’s northernmost and southernmost points, guests will be able to visit the scenic Yanabaru area to the North as well as the numerous UNESCO World Heritage sites of the central and southern regions.
In addition to its excellent location boasting spectacular views and fascinating heritage sites, the resort also promises stylish interiors inspired by Okinawa’s rich cultural traditions and designed by Tokyo-based Hashimoto Yukio Design Studio.
Visitors can look forward to freshly prepared Japanese cuisine across the resort’s six dining outlets. Dishes will be created using locally grown heirloom produce as well as the daily catch of the day, straight from the Okinawan waters.
What’s more, seating up to 40 people, the on-site Seragaki Island Chapel with a ten-metre aisle facing towards the sea will be the perfect setting for an intimate wedding ceremony.
The Hyatt Regency Seragaki Island Okinawa is now accepting reservations for arrivals from 1 September this year.
