Following the global outbreak of the coronavirus Covid-19, like everyone, we have been monitoring and implementing the guidance from the Government and World Health Organisation – updated 16.03.2020.
We’ve taken sensible and practical measures to safeguard our staff who are working incredibly hard to protect and rebook holidays. We have also followed advice to protect our customers who have all been patient, polite and very understanding as our team battle to salvage holiday plans. We do have robust business continuity plans and therefore our hours of business will remain the same, we are fully contactable by phone and email, with several of our colleagues working from home, providing support and advice for anyone who’s travel plans have been disrupted. We have however taken the decision to operate a closed-door policy in our shop on Gosforth High Street from Saturday 21 March which means you can wave cheerily to us, but we won’t be able to invite you in for a coffee.
The Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) now advises British people against all non-essential travel worldwide. This advice takes effect immediately (17.03.2020) and applies initially for a period of 30 days. Please check the FCO website for latest information. We are proactively contacting anyone due to travel imminently, within the next 72 hours, and assisting those overseas that urgently need to return to the UK.
Many of our travel partners are offering flexibility around bookings with changes or amendments being made free of charge. Incentives and upgrades are being offered when you re-book to ensure travel still happens post Covid-19. Most of our customers are choosing to rebook their travel within the next 12 months. Please speak to a member of our team to understand the options available to you.
